This weekend I’ve been to Willingen for the last skijumping World Cup before the Olympic games. That’s why some of the athletes didn’t compete there. I haven’t been to Willingen for 3 years, so it was great to be back. The atmosphere is always amazing and it was really exciting. This year it felt as we would be in Poland, because there were so many polish fans and almost more polish flags than german. :)
I wasn’t sure if I go to both individual comps, but then I decided to go there only on Sunday. It was a good decision, because on Sunday it was raining until the comp started, but on Sunday we had great conditions. The sun was shining and it was just a perfect day with a lot of fun.
Kamil Stoch won both competitions in Willingen and showed that he’s in a great shape before the Olympics.
Top 3:
1. Kamil Stoch (POL)
2. Severin Freund (GER)
3. Peter Prevc (SLO)
Pictures are now online in the skijumping section. Enjoy!
