It's already one week ago that I came home from my trip to the Netherlands. I've spent 5 days at the North Sea in Noordwijk and it was the first time I visited the Netherlands. I spend a lot of time in Noordwijk, but I also visited Amsterdam, Den Haag, Scheveningen and Leiden. My first trip went to Amsterdam. I wasn't really sure if it was the best idea to go there by car, but in the end it was, because I used park and ride. It was no problem to go the city center by tram and it was also really cheap. I walked through the city, saw the most famous buildings and visited Madame Tussauds. It was as amazing as in Berlin and I can only recommend it to go there! Some waxfigures were the same like in Berlin, but there were still enough new ones. It's just amazing how good this figures are made, you always have the feeling you're standing before a real person.
The next trip went to Den Haag. I've spend the morning there and went to Scheveningen in the afternoon. It took only something about ten minutes from Den Haag by tram to Scheveningen at the North Sea. I have to say that I'd liked to have some more time in Scheveningen because it was perfect weather for a day at the sea! It wasn't cold or windy like two days before in Noordwijk, so I went just for a little walk before I had to leave again.
The next day I drove to Leiden, just 10km from Noordwijk. I rather wanted to spend another day at the sea, but it was raining, so I decided to go to Leiden in the morning for some shopping, hoping it would stop raining... I was lucky because it started raining in Leiden just before I wanted to leave. Back in Noordwijk it was still rainy but it luckily stopped after a while, so I could go for a walk at the beach again.
All in all it was a really amazing trip, even it was a bit to short. It was my first travel to the Netherlands and I have to say that I really enjoyed the atmosphere there. It was just amazing to walk through cities like Amsterdam and Leiden where you can find water everywhere! The people were also really nice and always helpful. I'm sure that I will come back some day to visit more of that country!
